In accordance with their offer, a single leet is currently situated at the fountain producing, on request, the items that were taken from everyone from a small rucksack. Although its cries of "PHAT LEWT" were initially met with confusion, people are beginning to catch on and word is spreading around the town of exactly what it is doing there.
News: 28-05-07
Today the leets’ ultimatum fell, although things did not go quite as expected. Rather than being overrun by an endless horde of respawning rodents, the village instead faced an endless horde of respawning rodents *and* the two strangers that claimed they were going to get rid of the endless horde of respawning rodents.
This ended up working towards our combatants’ advantage. Thanks to their efforts, the leets were able to break free of the mind control of the two agents, and subsequently helped to finish them off.
Being honourable sorts, the leets decided that one good turn deserves another. Not only have they declared a truce between themselves and the island’s inhabitants, but they have also offered to help with the problem of the food shortage, as well as promising to return everyone’s stolen items.
Seems like a happy ending, all in all.

Matunda's funeral was yesterday. Rather, it would have been had Shiro not turned up and, after a brief bit of confrontation with JM and Liadan, taken the urn back to the farm with her.
News: 12-4-06
Liadan has begun to spread the news of Matunda's funeral, which is to take place in two days. Volunteers are also being asked for in order to provide a eulogy at the proceedings.
News: 11-25-06
The leets have turned out to be more dangerous than anyone had imagined. The rescue party sent into their lair not only arrived to find Matunda reduced to ash, but after a brief battle discovered that the creatures were able to return from the dead indefinitely after being slain. Somewhat placated by the fair fight they were offered, however, they allowed the inhabitants of the island one month to live their lives before launching an all-out assault on the village.
Since returning from the expedition, Kelbik has been up all night visiting households to spread the word that an URGENT town meeting is to be held tomorrow. Kiteran currently holds Matunda's ashes and the date of her funeral has yet to be decided.
Shiro has moved into the DeAmor farm temporarily, having run there after the fight. She is, understandably, quite shaken up by what has happened but after some initial difficulties has calmed down somewhat. To make sure she doesn't do anything stupid Rauli is having her constantly supervised, either by himself, Generic NPC #37 or any other PC who decides to watch her for a bit.
Currently only Rowan and her son can be found at Sewperfect: Jiji deciding to take a break until Shiro returns. Since Rowan is working on her own, there is a sign on the door reading, "Orders will take a while"

Matunda is missing! Luigi goes on a geographical adventure!
Today the town alarms were set off by Rick, after which Silica made her way around the square informing people of a "leet war". Rick then proceeded to inform those assembled by the alarm that Matunda is indeed missing, and he intends to give her alleged kidnappers 48 hours to return her along with the stolen items, (for he believes they are also the thieves that have been striking recently). Those wishing to take part in the mission to retrieve Matunda should she not be returned within that time are to meet at the fountain in two days.
Warnings have also been issued to keep an eye out for unusual brown or black rodents, and the previously disbanded town guard have been put back in action, currently patrolling with whatever farm implements they had to hand at the time.
News: 10-22-06
Things are still going missing, and it's becoming a problem. Possessions of value are now disappearing in addition to the junk items, and the villagers are becoming worried and disheartened. Talk of a town meeting in the near future is going around town.
Currently the items missing include Rick's headphones, Rauli's camera, Malia's trident, ACE'S HAT and the spears of the ex-guards.
News: 10-08-06
Things have been going missing. Everyone in town has had at least one of their items disappear on them mysteriously. Although a huge string of thefts would seem to be the only likely cause, the unusual thing is that every single missing object has little to no real value at all, even of a sentimental nature. (Players may decide on whatever they want to have "gone missing", provided the items adhere to the above guidelines.
News: 09-29-06
Anyone walking through town would see numerous signs that Ace posted. The signs read: "STOP HUNTING" in big writing and then the smaller print reads: "The animal population is declining. Please stop hunting large animals (deer, boar, pigs, goats ecetera). Fish, squirrels and the occasional giant rabbit is ok. Thank you for your cooperation."
In other news, Sam apparently returned bearing bad tidings to Liadan and Arcyra. He claimed that the ninja, Kobayashi had died during some secret quest they had been sent on. Sam, however, claimed to be kept alive only by the armor.
Later, Sianna, Shael and Arcyra, all meeting to help Liadan cope with the news of her berloved's death, encountered Sam again. Sianna instantly sensed that this was NOT Sam but a Tectonic Entity only posing as the SAMAS pilot to stir up bads memories of hatred and anger to feed off of. Using distractions and blasts of pure love, the Faux Sam left the armor in a pile of rock and flew off to God Knows Where.
In even other news, J has once again shown his face around town, threatening to attack the town once again if the mass hunting of woodland creatures doesn't stop. Though he did follow through with his threat it was only half-heartedly; a single man was injured nonfatally. After healing Shael from his injuries sustained by the false Sam he departed once again.
News: 07-26-06
Mysteriously, Sam and Kobayashi vanish from Liadan's home. Only a flash of light and they were gone. Sam's suit of armor was left, in pieces outside of Liadan's home and even Kobayashi's sword, Tetsuken was left behind.

Recently, a (rather crudely done) flyer has been seen posted around the town, often nailed up to random walls and stuck anywhere else that it might be seen. The flyer reads as follows:
"HEAR YE, HEAR YE!! Now looking for peeps willing to go overseas and kick some ass in the near future. Must not have a weak constitution. Must be willing to throw down at a moment's notice. Must be at least somewhat decent at fighting. For serious. Don't know when. Contact Dredge for training and shit."
According to those who have actually seen Dredge, this mysterious 'training' is to begin on Monday, as early in the morning as is possible, right in the town square.
News: Late July!
The angels and demons tried to get the baby Shanna but the people in the Haven managed to fend them off. There were casualties, however, since Kobayashi and Sam were both killed. Michael,An archangel, summoned by Vay, Arcyra and Rowan came and, after banishing the tainted Aziphail to Oblivion, afforded Shael three miracles to balance the wrong that had been donme to him. The miracles were to bring back Sam and Kobayashi and give Shanna everything she needs and wants throughout her whole life.
Kelbik showed up and did an admirable job at trying to save Kobayashi. He's some kind of bird man, but nobody's really taken the time to know him further than his name. He has greeted Rauli, Sianna and Shanna, though, so that's nice.
In OOC news, Black Island sheets are once again being written. All players who do not currently have a character on Black Island (including those who died or moved to the Haven, this means you ALL OPS) should write one. Talk to Ryo or Stan for details.

Shanna has been born, though a spell has been cast over Sianna's house that prevents the celestials from detecting her birth
An order has been issued to Rauli DeAmor from Aziphail, the head of the Angels: Find Shael and Sianna and tell them to bring the child to the celestials. Rauli has refused this offer and informed the leader that the only way the child will fall into their hands will be if they kill Rauli first (he has even gone so far as to invoke the rites of balance and challenge whichever champion wins the duel for Shanna's life).
Vay Sorrowlance has come into possession of a scroll upon which is contained some manner of divine spell. He's not entirely sure what it does yet (the angel who handed the scroll over refused to say what it was, only that it would help) so he's waiting for the time being and will only cast it when he's sure it'll help. The leader of the Demons, known as Wrath, petitions Shael to give the child to him to save her life, which Shael refuses
Not so pressing news, three pigs have turned up on Rauli's farm courtesy of Rowan Felinas. Soon there shall be bacon, pork and ham to go around!
News: 07-15/16-06
Tempers begin to flare between citizens of the Haven and the visiting Angels. Though still widely tight lipped concerning thier intent concerning Shanna's impending birth, the Angels continue a tight vigil about the town.
This changes suddenly when, as the Angelic Dimitri is interupted during a conversation with Silica by the appearance of five falling fireballs from the western sky. The Angels are not seen for almost an entire day when Dimitri is knocked back into the town by a Demon. As the fight is defused by a few of Haven's heroes, The demons reveal thier intent: to take Shjanna to Hell to be traned. They then unmask the Angel's plot to kill the child.
News: 07-12-06
Awestruck Haven civilians bore witness to the sudden and unannounced arrival of a group of angels, five in all. Despite appearing to be (mostly) non-hostile, they proved unwilling to reveal any details as to why they were on the island, beyond the fact that they were to witness the birth of Sianna's child and determine its threat to the cosmic balance, if any.

An incident erupted in town several days ago, leading to the death of a woman and the grave wounding of a man, both at the hands of J. After a brief confrontation, J escaped to attack New Haven. Though driven off, it was at a high price: New Haven, along with the supply of grain and cereals set aside for sale to the hungry villagers of the Haven, was burned to the ground.
Before departing J left a crude map which Dredge and Gaius followed to the old ruins once occupied by Wolfgang and his wolfmen. Though there was little of any relevance to the situation, Dredge did manage to figure out that the map was probably referring not to Haven island but Black Island. Pursuit of J has stalled until transportation to Black Island has been procured.
The injured man remains unconscious at Sobe's clinic.
News: 07-09-06
At around midday Rauli gave a short speech in the town square. The message was that the EarthGov commander was onto something when he told the villagers they would need to produce more in order to survive.
With that in mind, the DeAmor's are turning to the populace of the Haven for help. Any individuals, couples or families who wish to live and work on the farm are welcome provided they work within specific guidelines.
http://home.comcast.net/~andydthorley/RaulisSpeech.txt (Enterthehaven back-up needed perhaps)
The speech can be found at the above link (pheer the non text-wrap action). A Q&A session followed the speech, though rather than post it any interested individuals can ask Andy any questions they have and get Rauli's response (this can be treated as IC knowledge).
Currently Sam Masters and Olivia Nightingale have taken up Rauli's offer and are now working on the farm. Olivia is also living on the farm, as is Vay, though he is not working for the DeAmor family. Furthermore, all eight of the remaining members of the Town Guard, while not living on the farm, are working on it as J has disbanded the Town Guard. Armored men no longer patrol the town.
News: 07-04-06
Reconstruction on the town is nearly complete, including using some of the leftover materials to construct a few new homes on the north-western edge of the village. Notably, however, the general store remains a burnt-out hulk, Tom only briefly appearing in the village since the attack.
Unfortunatly, with the combination of the general store being closed, and Fritz Dundeedle's dissapearance, food has become more scarce within the village, carrying on a supply lesser than what the demand can take. This has lead many people to turn towards the Vend-o-matic 3000 machine (and its corresponding supplier of tokens), often forming long queues for food and other items.
With this, a small tragedy has struck, as one of the villagers lost an arm due to an accident involving the change machine. He is currently being treated at Sobe's clinic, but seems more concerned over the loss of his tokens than the loss of his arm.
In addition, a scouting party to the north mountains (and New Haven) has managed to recover J, as well as more information reguarding the various attacks on the village, apparently the work of a company known as Southern Robotics, lead by a man referring to himself as Crawford. After speaking to both Crawford and a girl named Virginia (who is believed to be his daughter), it appears as though the attacks may have been unfortunate coincidence, and not the work of any actual maelevolant act.
Though J (now referring to himself as Julius) has lost his memory (as well as his darker side), many others hold out hope that it will soon return. He is currently residing in the church.
